Many things trend, and some stick and some don’t.  A few examples of trends that stick are going green, going vegan, or going organic.  Once people learn the benefits to making certain decisions and how it will greatly impact their lives for the better, they are typically sold.  This is further enhanced by experiencing those benefits first-hand.  People who go organic feel healthier, and they don’t wish to go back to their old lifestyle.  People who go vegan are typically too embarrassed to go back since they made such a stink about it in the process.  Only partially kidding there.  And people who go green feel like they are making a difference in keeping our world a better place, especially for future generations.

Another trend that is rising and one that is sure to stick instead of fade?  Going faux.  The reasons for this are obviously for the benefits involved.  When designing either the interior or exterior of your home or business, going faux is the way to go.  This is the case for a number of reasons.

First off, faux wall paneling costs a fraction of the price of traditional and authentic stone, wood, or brick.  Just think about it.  Not only must you purchase the materials themselves, but you must also spend money on expensive tools and machinery, and ultimately labor costs.  Unless you are a Jack of all Trades, you most likely are not able to install a stone fireplace all by yourself.  Unless, however, you use faux stone paneling.  Yep, that’s right, all of our faux stone is completely DIY.  All that is required are a few standard tools, either caulk or glue, and a little willpower.

In addition to saving money, going faux is a great way to provide a long lasting design.  Our faux stone panels are incredibly durable, as they are made from a high quality polyurethane.  By nature, polyurethane is a closed cell material.  In lamens terms, this basically means that moisture cannot penetrate its surface. Because of this, all of our paneling at Faux Direct is resistant to mold, mildew, and rot.  And, as if it couldn’t get any better than that, our paneling is designed to withstand the effects of all types of weather and is UV resistant.  We also have fire rated panels available should you choose to place them around a heat source such as a fireplace or stove.

There you have it!  A trend that is here to stay, and one that you do not want to miss out on.  Jump on the ‘go faux’ train and head to our ‘Applications’ section to see all of the ways you can use faux wall paneling in your home or business!
