After a recent binge watching session of Fixer Upper, do you have the idea in your mind that you now absolutely must have a kitchen backsplash?  Not just any backsplash either, but a beautiful, rustic, country, farmhouse looking brick backsplash?  Yep, Joanna Gaines really does have that effect on people.  Well, if you find yourself in this boat, you are not alone.  So many people love the vibe that the modern farmhouse look gives off, and having a brick kitchen backsplash is a must-do if you are looking to accomplish this.

Unfortunately, many people are swayed away from going through with obtaining the brick backsplash they have been dreaming about simply because of the cost and time it takes to install.  Finding the right brick can be a total hassle, and once all is said and done, such as getting enough of the brick, purchasing grout, paying someone to install it, and then the expensive cost of sealing it, you can really find yourself in the hole.

Enter: faux brick paneling.  Thank. Goodness.

Faux brick paneling is the answer to the problems mentioned above.  First of all, it is extremely affordable.  Faux brick panels cost a fraction of authentic brick because they are made from a synthetic material called polyurethane.  Although synthetic, it still looks and feels incredibly real.  The polyurethane begins in foam form and is cast from authentic stone.  The end result is painted to match it perfectly.  The only giveaway?  How lightweight the panels are.

Second of all, you can install it yourself!  Because they are so lightweight, installation is easy peasy.  All of our panels come with a step-by-step installation guide (can also be found under our ‘Resources’ tab), and are typically installed in a single afternoon.  All that is required are a few standard tools and simple caulking or glue.  This means you do not have to pay a contractor to come out and do the hard work for you.

Lastly, faux brick paneling will last for years to come.  Unlike authentic brick, it will not crack, chip or dent.  It will not require any sort of maintenance, and works wonderfully as a backsplash because the material is impervious to moisture.  This makes all Faux Direct’s faux brick paneling resistant to mold, mildew, and rot.  The perfect situation for a kitchen backsplash, where the chances of splashing and spilling are pretty high.

Are these enough reasons to choose faux brick paneling?

Not to mention, it looks amazing:
