Fall break is quickly approaching, and if you are tired of your current design situation, you are not alone.  Many people are ready for that fall makeover, and there is no better time than now to start thinking about it.  Typical home renovation projects are not easy nor are they cheap. There is a lot of planning involved, materials to purchase, contractors to hire out, and a mess to deal with for days! As the good lady on YouTube once said, “Ain’t nobody got time for that!”

What if there was a way to transform your home in a single weekend?  And wait….it gets even better.  What if there was a way to do this on a budget?

Lucky for you, there is.  Faux wall paneling makes this possible.
Faux wall paneling makes a weekend home transformation an actual possibility.  You can accomplish numerous projects, such as: kitchen backsplash, bathroom design, accent wall, stone fireplace, outdoor kitchen, exterior siding, landscape design, and more (see our ‘Applications’ section for more ideas).

Faux panels are extremely easy to apply. This benefit is the reason it is possible to redo a section of your home in a single weekend. The panels are made from a material called polyurethane, which makes them very lightweight.  The polyurethane begins in foam form, and is cast from authentic stone, brick, or wood. Once dried, it is painted to match the authentic counterpart. The end result is literally uncanny. No one will be able to tell that your faux stone fireplace is in fact faux!

The opportunities are endless with faux wall panels.  They are UV resistant and weatherproof, so they can be used outdoors as well.  Many people use them to create outdoor kitchens, outdoor fire pits, use them in their pool design, exterior paneling, and even entry gates. Indoors, the most popular uses are accent walls and fireplaces.  They are fire-rated so you do not have to worry about placing them near a heat source either.

Because the panels are so lightweight, they are easy to pick up and apply.  They only require simple caulking or glue and a few standard tools. A step by step installation guide is also included in your package for your convenience. Most people can accomplish a faux wall paneling project in a single afternoon!

At the end of the day, would you rather spend lots of money and time on a renovation project?  Probably not, and because of that, you will never make changes to your house. Get the transformation you want with faux stone paneling!

You want to know the secret ingredient to making your business a success?  Be different. (In a good way, of course.) People like creative, unique things.  There is a reason celebrities are naming their kids things like North and Kulture.  They don’t ‘fit in’ with everyone else. Being different sparks questions and demands attention.  It makes you stand out. We’ve compiled a few tips for making your office or your business stand out, and make it so people remember you like Lady Gaga’s hair.

  1. Eye catching logo. Graphics and design are everything nowadays.  More and more people are shopping right from their phones!  It is easy, convenient, and fast. If you want your brand to stand out, you must have an eye catching logo.  Something that people will remember and know you for. Take Apple for example. You can hardly eat the fruit now without thinking of Macintosh and how they have basically taken over the world.
  2. Unique design. Now that retail space is more important than ever, for your physical storefront, you will want to have a unique interior (and exterior) design. Do something creative like use faux stone paneling along the interior walls of the store.  It will look amazing and make a lasting impression on your customers. And best of all, faux panels are affordable and easy to install.
  3. Awesome website. Your website is also important.  People want a fast way to get information, and your website is a great way to accomplish this.  Implement a mixture of images and text, enough to get your overall message across. Make sure your website is mobile friendly, or you will probably drive away a majority of potential business.
  4. Creative incentive.  People want to feel special, and nothing says special like free stuff.  Put together fun programs and contests on your social media sites. Do random drawings and give away free goods for the winners.  Post interesting and exciting information, and incentivize people to like and share your posts. This will only promote yourselves online and increase the number of people who learn about your brand.
We hope these tips are able to help out your business! If you are in the retail business, we cannot stress enough how important it is to make sure you have a great-looking storefront and interior. If you need helping choosing faux panels that would work with “your look” give us a call!

Our society is trending towards living more simply. Less distractions and more focus on what is important to us in our lives. Cutting down on excess stuff, because let’s be honest- we have so much stuff, as well as eliminating things from our lives that bring us down (habits, people we associate with, etc.).

If you are aiming to live the simple life, but still want to make a change in your home through interior design, you might find yourself in a bit of a pickle.  After all, typically a renovation project involves acquiring even more stuff, right?

Although this is often the case, it doesn’t have to be.  If you put these following steps into action before your next home renovation project, you can make a big change in a simple way.

  1. 1 for 1 Rule.A great rule to live by is the 1 for 1 rule. Every time you obtain one new thing, donate or sell one thing you already own.  This way you are not gaining more things in the process. If you want to get real crazy you can give away or sell 2 things for every one thing you acquire.  This would definitely put you on the fast track to living the simple life.
  2. Consignment.Who says new things need to be brand new? A simpler way to live is to reclaim used items.  You can make them new by changing them yourself, but you can just think of it as recycling.  You will also save a great deal of money in the process!
  3. DIY.A simpler way to renovate is by finding DIY friendly projects.  Although it may intimidate you at first, you will probably surprise yourself throughout the process. An extremely easy DIY project that also makes a huge change is Faux Wall Paneling.  You can use them both on interior and exterior walls for a number of applications. They do not require expensive, heavy tools nor do they require a contractor to install. You can install them yourself in a matter of hours, and have something like a stone fireplace before the day’s end.  Check out our ‘Applications’ section for a full list on how these can be used.
  4. Do it in Stages. There is no need to freak out and try and renovate your whole home in a single weekend. Pace yourself.  Pick one room at a time and focus on it for awhile until you are happy with it. Trying to do too much in too little time will only stress you out, and take away your focus from the things in life that truly matter.  Take your time, decorate in stages, and make your life much more simple in the process.

Hopefully, these tips help you as you prepare for your next home DIY project, and as you prepare to SIMPLIFY your life. Remember to check out our website and see our new faux wall colors we have in for the fall.

When most people think about incorporating faux wall paneling into a design project, they tend to think strictly about indoor uses. This would be a terrible oversight, as there are many ways faux wall paneling can be used for an exterior purpose.

Faux is a great addition to exterior walls because of the high quality polyurethane material they are made from. The material is impervious to moisture, which makes them resistant to mold, mildew, and rot.  They are designed to withstand all types of weather, both hot and cold. The panels are also UV resistant, so you don’t have to worry about them fading in the sun.

So, since you know faux wall panels work great outdoors, how exactly can you use them?  There are a number of exterior applications that our customers are implementing all the time.  Here are some of the most popular:

  1. Fence Posts. Adding faux stone or faux brick paneling to your fence to create posts is a great way to break up the monotony of all wood in the fence design. The fence post not only adds aesthetic appeal, but also adds texture and dimension.  They are easy to apply on your own, and only require a few standard tools to do so.
  2. Entry Gate. A wonderful way to complete the look of your home and really add to your curb appeal is by placing an entry gate at the end of your driveway. This works especially well for homes with long driveways as well as a large amount of property.  It adds a regal feel, and can be done without using authentic stone, brick, or wood.
  3. Exterior Paneling. Adding faux brick, stone or wood to the exterior of your home’s paneling will add dimension and character. There is nothing more charming than a little brick house.  You can create this look for a fraction of the price and in a fraction of the time by using Faux Direct’s faux wall paneling.
  4. Backyard Design. There are several ways you can incorporate faux wall paneling into your backyard design. Many people add faux stone around their pool or create a waterfall.  Adding a faux wood shower is a unique touch, as well as a faux brick fire pit. The most popular project is creating an outdoor kitchen using any of our paneling options. Every project is easy to attain, fun to accomplish as it is DIY friendly, and will last for years to come.
